Hotel Highlights - The quarter-mile, crescent-shaped, white sand Poipu Beach fronts Sheraton Kauai Resort. Long a favorite beach of Kauai residents for its sunny weather and crystal, clear, ocean waters, Poipu has been ranked in the 10 Best Beaches in Hawaii by several publications. Most recently Poipu was named the #1 Beach by Doc Beach in USA TODAY and the #1 Best Family Beach by the TRAVEL CHANNEL. The ocean conditions are mild most of the year except for an occasional storm or swell, making this a popular beach for swimming, snorkeling, bogey boarding and surfing.
- Sheraton Kauai Resort has two fresh-water swimming pools. The Beach Pool is located alongside Poipu Beach and the Garden Pool is set amidst the gardens and koi-ponds in the resort's Garden Wing. Both pools have a children's pool, with the Beach Pool also having a slide and a whirlpool, while the Garden Pool has a waterfall.
- The Sheraton Kauai Resort’s 394 rooms, including the 8 suites, are housed in four-story buildings. Grouped together in three different locations in the 20-acre resort, the room categories are identified according to the primary view, in the following buildings: Garden Wing, Ocean Wing and Beach Wing
- Bedding choices are either king or (two) double beds. Children (17 and younger) stay free in their parents’ room utilizing existing bedding. Cribs are complimentary. There is an additional $50 per night charge for rollaway beds.
- The full complement of guest services and facilities include two swimming pools, massage and fitness center, tennis courts, a children’s center, a host of beach activities plus equipment rental and instruction if you choose, a choice of championship golf courses, shops both in the hotel and the nearby Po'ipu Shopping Village to name a few.
